The condition of man is to never know it all. To always remain ignorant somewhere. For if he knew it all he would not need anything else, he would instantly get completely bored. The purpose of knowledge then cannot be the exhaustion of knowledge. Not knowing it all is a gift of the universe for us. Not knowing it all keeps us sane. The moment we would know it all there would be no reason to live any other moment, because the only thing to do would be to contemplate our own completeness. The being is subject to incompleteness. That is why the Christian says that God is beyond Being.
